The Great Goodbye

2014-02-19 Shildon, a set on Flickr.

This week sees the last opportunity in the foreseeable future to see all six preserved A4 Pacifics together. They are at Shildon until Sunday. I went on Wednesday and took a few photos. I had the privilege of standing on the footplate of 60008 Dwight D Eisenhower which will be returning to the US soon. I must also say thanks to Northern Rail for anticipating demand and putting extra stock on the Saltburn to Bishop Auckland route.

Stockton Weekender Photographs – #stcktnweekender

I have nearly a thousand RAW photo files to sift through from the weekend’s music festival in Stockton-on-Tees, I’ll eventually post the best of them to Flickr and link here. In the meantime here are a few of my favourites…

Lizzy Once Moore (a Thin Lizzy/Gary Moore tribute band)…

Young Rebel Set

The Go! Team

We Are Scientists

The Pogues (These are a little grainy… but it somehow seems appropriate for this band!)

The Purnells (on the second stage or more exactly off the second stage)

Jake Bugg (spot who is walking in background… he watched nearly the whole set from the wings – is that the right expression for a festival stage?)

Simon & Oscar from Ocean Colour Scene performing acoustically

And the Sunday night headliners James…

All the pictures were taken from the audience – no stage front media passes for me! They are protected by a Creative Commons Attribution, No Derivatives Non Commercial Licence which means you can copy them so long as you credit me, don’t alter them in any way and don’t use them for commercial purposes.

Beverley & Skidby

St. Mary’s Church and puppets in Beverley, birds of prey and scarecrows in nearby Skidby. Ann and puppy Barney… a good Saturday…

Here’s the flickr set if you can’t see the Flash slideshow.
